Jerome "Jerry" L. Henderson, 73 years old of Kentwood, MI passed away on Friday, June 18th, 2021 after battling cancer. Preceded in death was his father James Henderson, his mother, Peg Henderson, and his younger brother, Jimmy.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brown, former spouse Leslie Henderson, daughter, Ashley (Brian) Kozak, son, Jerome "Ryan" (Victoria) Henderson, and son Dylan Henderson. Jerry also loved and adored his three grandchildren, Caden Kozak, Taryn Kozak, and Grasyn Kozak. He is also survived by his sisters, Tami (Paul) Henderson Philips, Lisa (Jim) Holloway, his brother Michael "Mike" Henderson, his nephew Michael (Alma) Blissenbach, niece Krista (Nick) Barre and their children, niece Lindsay (Noah) Ringdahl and their children, niece Melissa (Owen) DeLeon and their children, and all of his cousins who were always close to his heart.

Throughout Jerry's career, he dealt in the mortgage and insurance and auto businesses. One of the accomplishments that he was most proud of was that he served in the Vietnam War in Special Forces as a Green Beret. He loved God, his family and friends, and he loved his country. He was known for being a great listener, his wisdom, and for his infectious laugh. He enjoyed politics, working out at the gym, and enjoyed his Starbucks coffee.

There will be a private memorial service. In Jerry's memory, donations may be made to any hospice facility.
