Jeffrey K. Noorman, age 53, of Hudsonville passed away on August 3rd, 2026 after a battle with esophageal cancer. Born November 28th, 1972 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jeff grew up in Allendale, Michigan. He fell in love with his wife, Cheri (Postema), at age 21. After five days of meeting, Jeff and Cheri were looking at wedding rings, they married within the year, and spent 31 years building a life together. 

Jeff loved to spend time with his wife and their four children, often playing board games, like his favorite Settlers of Catan. He valued time spent with his wife, Cheri, in their yard gardening and enjoying the sunshine together. Jeff’s favorite flowers in their yard were the colorful hibiscuses and the lilies that could grow up to five feet. Cheri surprised Jeff with a cruise to the Caribbean for their 30th wedding anniversary. They both fell in love with cruising and the Caribbean; they were able to enjoy two more trips like this, including February 2026 with all four of their children. 

Jeff’s favorite hobby was ancestry tracing, he found it fascinating to see how far and wide his family’s lineage went. He was a big University of Michigan fan (GO BLUE). 

Jeff was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his soulmate, best friend, and love of his life, Cheri, whom he LUVED with all his heart; his four children, whom he also LUVED very much, Austin Noorman, Joshua Noorman, Krista Noorman (Wyatt), and Ashley Noorman; his parents Kenneth Noorman and Carol (Butterworth); his two siblings, sister Kim Noorman and brother Kevin Noorman (Holly); his father-in-law Larry Postema; and many nieces and nephews. 

Jeff’s family will be holding a Celebration of Life in his honor because Jeff wanted those survived by him to rejoice at the life he had the privilege of living. The Celebration of Life will be Sunday, August 23rd, 2026 at Hager Park in the DeVries room located at 8212 28th Ave, Georgetown Township in Jenison, MI 49428 from 12:30pm - 4:30pm. Jeff and his family would like to thank everyone who has reached out and been supportive of them through this difficult journey.
