Jeanne M. McGeorge of Kalamazoo, Michigan, age 78, passed away on May 6, 2022. She was born to Raymond and Edna (Richard) Maleski on July 31, 1943, in Muskegon, Michigan.
Jeanne was born the eldest of five children. She was a 1961 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School received a B.S. from Western Michigan University in 1972 majoring in Economics and Mathematics.
Jeanne was very active in the Kalamazoo and Portage communities. She was chair of the City of Kalamazoo Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Portage Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations. She was a member of the Kalamazoo County Chamber Board of Directors, Kalamazoo County Convention and Visitors Board of Directors, Rotary member and Member of the National/Michigan and Kalamazoo Realtors Association and the United Way. She was employed as General Manager of Jaqua Realtors for 22 years.
She loved planning special events, decorating homes, antiquing, gardening and was known for her collection of nutcrackers.
Jeanne is survived by her son, Todd W. McGeorge of North Carolina, brother, James Maleski of Dewitt, sisters, Barbara Rishel of Traverse City and Suzanne Dion of Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ray R. Maleski, and loving son, Thomas John McGeorge.
