Jean Louise Potter, of Kentwood MI, passed away on Friday, Sept 23, 2022, at the age of 74. Jean spent her final days surrounded by her family and being taken care of by Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center, Michigan. Jean was born May 30, 1948, in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary Rowe.

Jean is survived by her Sons Curtis Sarles (Monique) and Rodney Potter (Diana); Grandchildren Samantha Neese (Aaron), Dustin Potter (Selma Bajric), Hayleigh Potter (Matt Postma) and Grand-dog Kia; Great-Grandchildren Aili Holmes and Skylar Neese; Step-Great-Grandchildren Kadin and Alexis Neese. She is also survived by her Aunt Barbara Shaw Moorehead; Sister Tammy Hudson; Niece Nicole Hudson (Petur Gislason) and Nephew Steven Rowe (Kari) along with several Great Nieces and Nephews.

Jean dearly loved her family. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Jean worked many years as a customer service representative. She was hardworking and prided herself on being independent. Jean was a smart, spunky, sharp-tongued, fun-loving woman even after overcoming many adversities in her life. She fondly looked back on being a majorette in her teens. Later in life she loved spending time with her family and Grandchildren. She was an avid reader of murder mysteries especially, James Patterson. Even amidst the pain and suffering she endured in her final years, she always kept her faith and Bible by her side. Jean was a member of Resurrection Life Church in Grandville.

There will be a private family service and burial at 12:30 on Monday, Oct 3, 2022, at Blain Cemetery, 1270 68th St SE Kentwood MI, 49508. At 3:00 a Celebration of Life will take place for friends and friends of family at the Moose Lodge, 2360 Burlingame Ave SW Grand Rapids MI 49509. Service Details.
