Obituary

Jean Elaine (Owen) Foreman, 96 years young, was reunited with her husband, Edward, on October 3, 2025 after 33 years apart. Jean was born January 21, 1929 in Chicago where she grew up. She spent 65 yrs. living in Des Plaines and McHenry, IL before passing peacefully at Walnut Ridge Memory Care in Kentwood, MI where she lived the last three years. She followed her loving husband, Edward, and sister Beverly Lostumo, to her eternal home. Jean discovered the art of baton twirling as a young teenager, marched in numerous Chicago parades and competed in the Chicagoland Music Festivals at Soldier Field where she won several awards. She passed on her love of twirling by teaching for many years after retiring from competition. As a couple, Jean and Ed enjoyed remodeling their homes, boating, camping, spending time at their summer home in MI and were avid square dancers for over 25 years. They are now dancing together again! Cherishing her memory are her daughter, Judy (Rick) Magnuson, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two nieces. The family offers heartfelt thanks to the compassionate team of caregivers from Faith Hospice who provided comfort and support during Jean's final journey. We are grateful that it was one of comfort, peace and dignity. Thanks also to the caregivers at Walnut Ridge Memory Care for their dedication to enriching the lives of those with dementia. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. However, if you feel moved to make a memorial donation in Jean's name, please consider Faith Hospice or Walnut Ridge Memory Care.
