Janie S. Goldsmith, age 74 of Byron Center passed peacefully on December 10th, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Goldsmith, her sister, Jeanon Kerr and her parents, John and Noma Maddox. She is survived by her sister, JoAnn Swiggart, her daughter, Amy (Jeff) Schmidt, her son, Tom (Betsy) Goldsmith, six grandchildren: Chelsea (Charlie), Chad (Brooke), and Cassie Schmidt, Trace, Lakynn and Cole Goldsmith and two great-grandchildren, Jayda and Landon, and many nieces and nephews. Janie's greatest joy in life was spending time with family and her many friends. She graduated from South High School in 1965 and loved the monthly get-together at Marge's. She retired from the Wyoming Public School system. Janie was active in the Wyoming community, especially the Jaycees. She had two bunco groups that she had been a part of for over forty years. She was a steadfast friend to so many. She leaves behind a legacy of love and caring that will not be forgotten. A celebration of life service will be held in Spring/Summer of 2021.
