Janet L. Spilde, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Valley View Care Center in Walker,
Michigan. She passed away surrounded by her husband and daughter. She was born in Madison,
Wisconsin in 1936, to Martin and Lucille Virnig.

Janet was one of six children: Bev, Ray, Bill, Leroy, and Karen. She married her husband, Donald Spilde,
in July of 1960. Over the next few years, they had a daughter, Connie, and moved to Janesville,
Wisconsin where they spent many years. Upon Donald's retirement, they moved to the Grand Rapids,
Michigan area to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Donald Lavern Spilde; daughter, Connie Houston;
grandchildren: Megan Fader and Daniel Fader; and great grandchildren: Allessandra Sellner, Jayden Ellis,
Adalynn Fader, Daniel Fader Jr., and Braylon Christensen.

A service will be held in the future to celebrate Janet's life. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a
donation to a charity or act of kindness in Janet's behalf.
