Janet Sue Hilden (Osburn), 73, of Grant Michigan, passed away at home with family nearby, on the evening of Saturday May 4th, 2024, after a long fight with cancer.

Janet was born on April 25th, 1951, to Earl & Laurevia Osburn of Grant, Michigan. She was raised in a hardworking country family with one brother, David Osburn, and 3 sisters, Judith, Sally, and Sandra.

In 1972, Janet married Ronald Hilden and went on to have 3 sons, Andy, Christopher, and Joshua. She was a loving wife and mother. Janet drove bus for Grant Public Schools for many years, keeping kids safe in the community and making many cherished friends over the years.

After retiring from Bus Driving, she continued to sub for many years, and spent time volunteering at Northland Church of Christ supporting the Feeding America Mobile Pantry.

She loved combing the beaches of Lake Superior looking for rocks and taking in the majestic scenery while camping with family. She loved arts and crafts, crocheting, a good book, and all things in nature.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Laurevia Osburn; and sisters, Judith Morrison and Sandra Sotelo. She is survived by husband, Ronald Hilden; sons, Andy (Donna), Christopher (Brenda), and Joshua Hilden; grandson, Garth (Kerstine) Jordan; granddaughters, Tiana, Amelia, Andrea, Laurevia, Jossalyn, Luella, Cristyann, and Greta Hilden; great-grandson, Xander Jordan; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Jordan; siblings, David (Gloria) Osburn and Sally Anderson; and brother-in-law, James Morrison.

A Memorial Service will be held at Loomis Lodge (142 Croton Dr, Newaygo, MI 49337) on May 18th, 2024 from 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Michigan and Feeding America, both organizations that Janet felt strongly about.
