Jan Striegle, 77, of Wayland, passed away peacefully in her home on July 5, 2020. She was born June 11, 1943 to Kenneth and Ruth (Stegenga) Gates.

She was married to Tom Striegle in July 1977. Jan is survived by her daughter Teresa (Ouderkirk) Williams of Wayland, grandson Jared Williams, stepchildren Tammy (Steve) Pennypacker, Darren (Connie) Striegle and Brad (Beth) Striegle, as well as a large extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Todd Ouderkirk.

She worked for several years as a veterinary technician, as well as a bookkeeper, for the Wayland Township Planning Commission and eventually retired from Professional Code Inspections.

She touched the lives of so many. Her kindness and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be scheduled later.
