IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Eugene
Wert
March 23, 1948 – September 2, 2018
James Eugene Wert was born on March 23, 1948 @ 1:30 am in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On Sunday September 2, 2018 @ 5:07 am we inherited the world from our father with instructions for us to fix it. The sadness we felt in that moment cannot be explained in words. Our grief is mixed with joy because we know mom and dad are back together again. Twice in life and now forever in eternity. GOD called him home to be with the ones who have gone ahead to prepare the way for us. His wife Linda Hilliker-Wert, His parents: Jack and Arlene Wert, His sibling: Susie Hunt, Linda Wert, Jack Wert, and Martin Wert Sr. have received in glory, fully restored, GOD's gift to them. The earth was given to us. So let's give them something to believe in… He is survived by his children: Amy Trofholz, Joseph Wert, Richard Wert, Jamie Wert Sr and Becky Wert; his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Crystal Trofholz, Jasmine Sharpe, Jaymslee Sharpe, Bernice Shipps, and Louis Trofholz; Sandra Harris, Destinee Wert, Brooklyn Wert, Elijah Wert, And Antonio Wert; Samantha and Amanda Wert; Danyell Wert; Dexter Trofholz; Jacob Wert, Jamie Wert II, Marlee Richards-Wert, and Xaiden Watson; Jessi Trofholz, Charlee Fitzgerald, Marleigh Fitzgerald, Paris Fitzgerald, and Mason Collins; Natasha Wert, Athena Greenfield; Joshua Wert; Justus Wert, Kaydence Coronado, and Benjamin Wert; His siblings: Richard Hilliker, Kenneth Wert, Mary Wert, Arthur Wert, Ema McGregor, and Timothy Wert; and His step grandchildren: Scott and Jennifer Huffman, Lexi Alldred, Alysha Alldred, Makayla Huffman, and Sadie Huffman; Priscilla Watson, Rhiannon Watson and Oakley Watson; Donna Huffman, Dylan Bowman and Tristen Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad's love for his family and friends was endless. His generosity could never be matched. His acceptance was unconditional. He made it through so many trying times in his life. For our eyes to see he demonstrated how to forgive with integrity and his dignity will shine forever. Things in life may not have gone the ways dad wanted them to, but that doesn't mean they were always wrong. On his last night with us he wanted to remind us to LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (his words). We can all agree that with love we can overcome anything with the same grace and foresightedness he displayed for all of us. His condolence to us was to provide for his own final expenses to ease our painful grief. Dad also provided for a "Celebration of Life". The details of his forthcoming event will be shared on Facebook. Anyone that knew dad is invited to come join him in spirit on September 16, 2018 at our cousins, Robert and Michelle's home. Dad wants us to share our memories peacefully. Showing respect is a requirement - Strict Jimmy Rules. The spirits of our ancestors will be there to help hold us all together. Rest In Peace Dad, We got your 6...
