Tuffelmire
December 15, 1936 – August 7, 2019
James Tuffelmire, 82 years of age, died August 7, 2019 of heart failure. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of the late John W. Tuffelmire and Gertrude Robinson. He attended Fairview school in Walker. He was the husband of 61 years to Roberta 'Sue' Tuffelmire, and dad to four children; Mike (Christa) Tuffelmire of Hesperia, Patty Tuffelmire of Coopersville, and John (Marcie) Tuffelmire of Grand Rapids. He was the Grandfather to eight grandchildren and 12 great-grand children, and brother to to Daniel Tuffelmire of Grand Rapids. James was preceded in death by his son Jack Tuffelmire, granddaughter Samantha Rae Tuffelmire, and great grandson Wayne James. James was a jack-of-all-trades and a master of them all. He turned his heart and life over to his Lord Jesus Christ in 1992. He did his best to 'Walk the walk', and 'Talk the talk' in his Christian life. His life verses were Ephesians 4:32 "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." and Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight." A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24th at Bristolwood Church, starting at 1:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at the Walker Fire Station (1427 3-Mile Road NW, Walker, 49544). "Any man can be a husband and father, but it takes a real man to be a helpmate and dad."
