James "Jim" Fester,78, of Kearney passed away Wednesday October 27, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.

Jim was born May, 9, 1943 in Kearney to Alfred and Evva Fester. Survivors include his siblings; Larry Fester, Gail Fester and Shirley Wrage; his children Scott Fester and Todd (Brenda) Fester; his grandchildren Ryan Fester and Rylee Fester; his great grandson Ashton Fester. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson Grady Fester.

Jim loved his family, fishing, hunting and the Chicago Cubs. He worked at Eatons, Rockwell, and West company.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday November 9th at 3pm at Kearney First Baptist Church with Pastor Sean Dougherty officiating. There will be no visitation or viewing. The family is honoring Jim's wish for cremation. Service Details.
