James Ronald (Jim) Ensing, 59, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away peacefully on 1/29/21 in Grand Rapids, MI after a courageous 3rd bout with cancer. Jim was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Ron and Helen Ensing on 8/20/61. He graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 1979. He worked for Standard Lumber for over 30 years. He loved his family, friends, dogs, MSU, doing projects, helping people, being outdoors, and boating. He didn't take his second chances at life for granted and lived and loved to the fullest.

Jim is survived by his wife, Melissa, children Nathaniel (Marrisa) Ensing, Hannah Ensing, their mother Laurie Ensing, grandsons Xander and Mason, brothers Mike (Peg) Ensing, Todd (Suzie) Ensing, Cliff Ensing, mother-in-law Denise Rypma, brothers-in-law Ken and Scott Rypma, nephews Christopher (Sierra) Ensing, Eric Ensing, Lewis Rypma, and niece Melissa (Nick) Prill. He is preceded in death by his parents Ron and Helen Ensing and father-in-law Bob Rypma.

A private funeral service will be held at Ada Bible Church at 1:30pm on February 2nd with Reverend Lew Vandermeer officiating for only immediate family. Relatives and friends may meet the family following the service at Gipper's on Kraft Ave. from 4:00-7:00pm.
