James T. Corpe, 76, passed into eternity on January 31, 2022. After graduating from Cherryland High School in E Rapids, Jim went on to serve his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Lucille (Allard) and Leonard Charles Corpe; brother & sister-in-law, Clare and Mary Pamela Corpe; sister, Alice Burfiend; brothers-in-law, Jack Leach, Miles Webb; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Booth) Corpe; and granddaughter Scarlett Corpe. He is survived by his sons, Jean (Cheryl) Corpe; Leonard Corpe; and James (Jodi) Corpe; grandchildren, Nicholas (Karley) Corpe, Morgan Corpe, Hanna (Austin) Myers; Eliana Corpe, Nolan Corpe; great-grandsons, Brodrick Corpe, Owen Corpe; his sisters, Edna Leach, Leona Webb; brother, Larry Corpe; brother-in-law, Richard Burfiend; and many nieces and nephews. Jim had a deep love for God, country, the importance of family, and any fresh baked goods he could get from his sisters. Father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed dearly by all that knew him. A Memorial Service at Fort Custer National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Service Details.
