James Lee Bowyer, 41, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2018 and into our Lord Savior's arms. His suffering is over, yet his infectious smile and larger-than-life personality will be missed by every one who ever knew him or was touched by his generosity and sweetness underneath his tough exterior. James was born on December 30, 1976 to Clarence and Susan Bowyer. He graduated from Hopkins High School in 1995, playing football for the Hopkins Vikings. From there he studied Accounting at Davenport University. He was employed at Sears Auto Center from 1996-2007 as manager and then was plant manager at LKQ Pick Your Part from 2007-2018. James was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jason Craig. Along with his parents, he will be missed by his son, Jamesen; his sister Marie (Hoyt) Higgs; brother Michael; grandmother, Avis Geren, former spouse, Kim; and girlfriend, Heidi Chappell-Belka who saw him through his darkest days, as well as her sons, Trent and Ty; many uncles, aunts and cousins, escpecially Michael Grabau, his partner in crime; and many friends. James will be cremated. His Celebration of Life will beheld at Vann's Valley Event Center, 1069 126th St. Shelbyville, Michigan.
