James Rockwell Bishop, 63 of Chicago, Illinois [Kalamazoo, Michigan], passed away peacefully on October 28, 2021.

Jim was born to Philo 'Glen' Bishop and Jacqueline Bishop on June 15, 1958 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating from college, Jim began his travels of career and recreation and eventually landed in Chicago, IL where he found his niche in real estate management and leasing.

Jim grew up in and loved the 'Winchell and Oakwood' neighborhoods. Reminiscing about growing up, family and the close neighborhood friendships and memories was a constant. He truly enjoyed a good time, adopted and continued the legacy of his father's love of watching old movies and listening to period music and incorporated avid watching of 80's & 90's YouTube music videos. Recreational travel to tropical locations, the ocean and 'pool' were where he relaxed and always made sure he had a travel companion to enjoy it all with him.

He enthusiastically embraced a symbiotic lifestyle of city and countryside. He loved to wander the grounds of 'the farm' with his companions Cody and Ella, float in the pool or just sit on the porch absorbing the splendor, beauty, charm, wonder and peace of nature and small town life.

His grass roots of swimming in Woods Lake, nature walks, compassion and joy of all creatures, drawing, wit and creative artist talents and watching Young and the Restless since the beginning brought him joy that he shared with others.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Philo 'Glen' and Jacqueline Bishop.
He is Survived by his brother Jeffrey (Robin) Bishop,
Nephew Joshua Bishop, niece Mandi (Ron) Bagley, nephew Brendan Timmons, nieces Shaundra and Gena Mountjoy, several great nieces and nephews and a host of dear friends and co-workers who miss him dearly.
