May 10, 2011 Irmengard (nee Kneissl) age 82, born in Bergen, Germany, gracefully left this life on May 10, 2011. Irma married a U.S. serviceman, the late Richard Crosby, making her journey to this country 53 years ago. She is fondly remembered for her love of alpine skiing and her musical talent with the accordion. She is survived by five children: Ralph (Michelle) Crosby, Melva (Rolf) Ludge, Richard Jay (Barbie) Crosby, Randy (Renee) Crosby, Robert (Linda) Crosby, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving Irma is her companion and best friend, John Herringa. A private family memorial is scheduled with interment at Whitneyville Cemetery.
