Obituary

Hunter David Peer (29) of Fruitport, MI crashed through heaven's gates on September 21, 2024. Hunter was born October 17, 1994 in Muskegon, MI to David James Peer and Lorrie Kay (Ross) West. Hunter was a graduate of the last graduating class at Waypoint Academy in Muskegon, MI in 2013. Hunter became a landlord soon thereafter and accumulated several rental properties in his short life.

Hunter loved fishing, hunting, nature and the Upper Peninsula. He also had a need for speed and an adrenalin rush. Hunter raced dirt bikes since he was very young. He loved driving his square body truck and riding three-wheelers, quads, jet skis and snowmobiles. Anything with a motor that could be driven got his attention and it didn't have to be new or nice, just fun to drive and maneuver. Hunter enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and had recently been accepted into the MMG (Muskegon Motorcycle Gang) and loved being a part of the gang. He posthumously received his gang name "Fish", which was so fitting for the guy riding around with a fishing pole hanging out of his saddlebag.

Hunter will be greatly missed by all that knew his spirit, smile, laugh and love for life. Hunter was the kind of friend a friend would love to have and be. Hunter is survived by his mother, Lorrie West and Step-Dad, Anthony West (Big Tony), the Love of his Life Megan Ericksen, sisters Taylor (Brock) Creighton and Angela West, brother Anthony West II (Lil Tony), grandparents Ronald and Mariann Cooper, a nephew and two nieces, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Hunter is preceded in death by his father David Peer, grandmother Gail Peer, grandfathers John (Jack) Peer and Mark Ross and his best four-legged friend Gna (German spelling for
Gina).

A Celebration of Life is planned for October 5, 2024 at 3:00pm. This will be a casual (like Hunter) outdoor gathering of all who knew and loved him at 5640 Wilson Road, Fruitport, MI 49415. BYOB.
