Hugh Durham Jr. was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on February 26, 1954 and passed away on December 7, 2017. Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Lucille Durham, his sisters, Linda Frost, Betty Jo Wyman, son, Joel and granddaughter, Ashley Raines. Hugh is survived by 6 children he loved so very much: Hallee Durham-Warner, Julian Durham, Hugh Durham III, Casey Durham, Bo Durham and Amanda Durham; his brothers and sisters, June (Mike) DeWinter, Sherri (Don) Mourer, Connie Durham, Steven Durham, Robert Durham and Gwen Sharp-Durham; many nieces and nephews; his grandchildren, Amber Gessner, Brendan Warner, David Raines, Benny Raines and Emma Rae Hatt; great-grandchildren, Taron Gessner and Haven Russell. Hugh will also be greatly missed by Diane Durham, Dave Kooienga and Helen VandeVoren. Hugh loved his children and his friends. He enjoyed movies with his kids, fishing, Bob Segar music and gardening. He also loved to spend the summer competing in demolition derbies and working on cars. Hugh fought a lengthy battle with cancer for years which finally took him up the stairs to heaven. He is with God now and out of pain forever. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary cemetery. Aren't we the lucky ones who knew someone who is so hard to say goodbye to. Hugh is watching over his family and friends until we meet again . . .
