December 23, 2012 Service: December 29, 2012 Rev. Howard Paul Bolthouse, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 23, 2012. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 58 years, Irene Bolthouse, and their children: Ted & Diane Bolthouse and son Nathan Bolthouse, step-grandson Jason & Jess Joswick with daughters Halie and Isabella; and Joel & Sue Bolthouse and sons Caleb and Ethan Bolthouse. Howard was born in Muskegon MI on October 11, 1929 to Henry and Lena Bolthouse, joining a family of three sisters: Janet, Carolyn, and Lillian. Howard's life was one of ministry, having prepared at Moody Bible Institute, Tennessee Temple College, and Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. He served as pastor of North Chester Baptist Church (Casnovia) and Utica Baptist Church (Utica IL); and then in overseas missionary work for 20 years, in Zambia, Botswana, and PagoPago American Samoa; also further with International Aid in Spring Lake MI until retirement in 1996. VISITATION: Friday, December 30, (2-4 pm and 6-8pm) at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids MI. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Saturday, 11:00 am at Kentwood Baptist Church, 2875 52nd St, Grand Rapids MI, Pastor Richard Liverance officiating.
