Obituary

December 8, 2014 Service: December 11, 2014 Hong Thi Ho, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Dec 8, 2014. She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Hong was born in Vietnam on Oct 29, 1949 and immigrated to the U.S. in Sept 1975. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, four daughters, one nephew whom she raised as her son, and thirteen grandchildren. She courageously battled cancer for over four years and is now in the loving arms of Jesus. She will be greatly missed by her husband, high school sweetheart Trinh Vo, her daughters Huyen Nguyen (Hung Nguyen), Thuy Batts (Mark Batts), Hoang Vo (Tuan Hoang), Ha Morrison (John Morrison) and nephew Dai Vo (Phuong Vo). Hong leaves a legacy of many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many family members and 10 siblings, five still living. She was adored and cherished by all who knew her. Hong worshiped and was an active member of Our Lady of La-Vang Vietnamese Catholic Church in Wyoming, MI. Relatives and friends will be received for visitation and time of prayer at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, MI on Tuesday and Wednesday 11am-2pm and 6-9pm. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11am at Our Lady of La-Vang (2019 Porter SW, Wyoming, MI). The Reverend Victor Ky-Nam will be officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 4100 Clyde Park, following the Thursday morning service.
