Hildred Harriet Klaver (née Pranger), passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at the age of 95, in Jenison, Michigan. Born on April 23, 1930, in Platte, South Dakota, Hildred's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her capacity for love, and her infectious joy that touched everyone she met.
Hildred was the beloved wife of the late Henry Peter Klaver, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories until his passing. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Robert Pranger. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through her devoted children, Linda (Rod) Zimmerman, Dick (Kristi) Klaver, and Valerie (Bob) Heilman; her adoring grandchildren, Valerie (Matt) Mulder, Matthew Klaver, Micah (Kate) Klaver, George (Jennifer) Klaver, Kirk Heilman, Linda (Knoa) Knapper, Julie (Jake) Schrock, and Brielle (Brett) Jager; along with her 17 great-grandchildren and her brother Marlowe Pranger.
Hildred's love for the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. Her faith was as natural to her as her warm smile, and she lived every day with a grace that inspired those around her. She was a wonderful singer, often lifting her voice in praise in her beloved church choir. Her kind and loving nature was evident in her interactions with everyone she met at both Anaheim Christian Reformed Church and Walnut Creek Christian Reformed Church.
A woman of many interests, Hildred had a zest for life that was contagious. Her laughter was a familiar and comforting sound to all who knew her, and her ability to find joy in the simplest of things was a lesson in gratitude.
Hildred's life was one of service, to her family, her friends, and her faith. She was a pillar of strength, a source of wisdom, and the heart of her family. Her children remember her as a guiding force, hard-working, and selfless mother.
Hildred's family will forever hold dear the memory of her kindness, her faith-filled spirit, and her loving heart. Hildred's life was a beautiful melody of devotion and joy, a song that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved her.
