Herman John Woudenberg, aged 91, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026 at the Trillium Woods Hospice. He was born June 18, 1935 in Grand Rapids Michigan, the son of Bernard and Lucille Woudenberg (Hanko). 

Herman graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1953 and obtained a Bachelors Degree in mathematics from the University of Minnesota in 1963. He had a passion for computer programming, particularly date and time converters. Herman had a strong faith in God and was a lifetime member and committed supporter of the Protestant Christian Reformed Church in South Holland, IL and Grand Rapids, MI. Throughout his long life, he saw God’s grace in the beauty of nature. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice (Jager) Woudenberg, his brother, Bernard Woudenberg and his sister, Jeanne Woudenberg - Colberg - Ehmann Surviving are his daughter, Ruth E. Patterson, his son, Mark Woudenberg and his grandchildren Ashley Woudenberg, Gabriel Woudenberg, Hannah Woudenberg, Zachary Woudenberg, and Chloe Woudenberg, and Great Grandson Layne Woudenberg-Prince.

A service of remembrance will be held at Saturday, September 19, 2026, Georgetown Protestant Reformed Church, 7146 48th Ave, Hudsonville, MI 49426 - 616-662-2682.
