IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry James
Elsenbroek
September 19, 1940 – August 6, 2021
Jim Elsenbroek, much loved husband, father, and opa on August 6 died and went to be with his Lord and Savior. It is because of His life, His death, and His resurrection that we can rejoice in spite of sadness. We therefore celebrate Jim's new birth into the life of Christ with all the saints that have gone before him and we look forward to celebrating a new and full life of victory with him. Thanks be to God! Jim was born on September 19, 1940 in Patterson, New Jersey and lived a happy, full, and love filled life replete with music, always music. He was a social worker at Pine Rest and Wedgwood Acres, the Deacon at Large for Grand Rapids, taught music at the Veteran's Facility and was a very good and meticulous painter. What he was really good at, was accepting people as they are and loving them. Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alli, his children and grandchildren: Jim and Dawn and their children Sebastian and Sadie; Joel and Christina and their children Mark and Rachel, Sean and Traci, Chris, and Lucas; Johan; Jason and Jen and their children Josh and Jesse. Also surviving are Jim's brother Roy and his wife Karla and several nieces and nephews in the Netherlands and here. Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Eastern Ave CRC, 514 Eastern Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
