The servant of the Lord, Hatem Yacoub Karadsheh, 78, resided in Caledonia, Michigan. He fell asleep on January 12, 2022 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born in Madaba, Jordan on October 8, 1943 to his father Yacoub Karadsheh and his mother Jalileh Karadsheh. He was married to Nadira Karadsheh for 42 years. He graduated from Belgrade University with a degree in Civil Engineering. He immigrated to the United States and became a successful entrepreneur where he co-owned a successful business in 1997 with his brothers called Mediterranean Island. He was a God-fearing, devout Orthodox Christian where he attended Saint Nicholas Antiochian Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a selfless, loving and generous man who never placed his needs before anyone.

He was survived by loving wife, Nadira, his 3 children, Maen, Mais (Ziad) and Mutaz (Angela); his 2 grandchildren, Willow and Jimmie; his brothers and sisters, Nihad (Awwad, deceased), Diana (Bassam), Marwan (Nadia), Ghada (Leo), Farouq (Wafa), Maha (John) and Khalid (Hala). He also has 27 nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents Yacoub and Jalileh and his sister Ekhlas (Jerias, survived).

The visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Saint Nicholas, 2250 E Paris Avenue SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. The funeral service will also be at Saint Nicholas on Saturday at 11 am. The burial will be held at Graceland Memorial Park following the funeral service. There will be a meal of mercy at Watermark Country Club immediately after the burial.
