Harry P. Mencarelli, age 97, from Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 24, 2022. He was born on November 12, 1924.

Harry was a graduate of Hope College Seminary and pastored 3 churches. After retiring from the ministry, Harry worked at Kindel Furniture, where he painted Chinese raised art. After retiring from Kindel Furniture, he was a Meijer Greeter. After retiring from being a Meijer Greeter, Harry enjoyed his art.

Harry was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his daughter, Jill Witteveen and son-in-law, Steve Witteveen. He is also survived by his sister, Val Rooney, his brother-in-law, Jim McKenney and his wife, Linda McKenney, his two grandchildren, Jason Witteveen and Sierra (Brandon) Ayers. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded into Glory by his parents, four brothers, Joyce Mencarelli, his wife of 66 years, his daughter, Lynn Mencarelli and grandson, Justin Mencarelli.

The family would like to thank Faith Hospice Care and staff at Edison Christian Rest Home for their care and compassion during their time caring for Harry.

The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. Visitation is from 10:30am-11:00am. Celebration of Life is 11:00am-12:00pm with lunch to follow.

Pastor Merl Bremer from Resurrection Life Church in Grandville is honored to officiate Harry's Celebration of Life.
