Obituary

Harry Hansen of Grand Rapids, MI, age 90, passed away into the loving arms of his Lord on July 7, 2023.
He was born to Hans and Helga Hansen from Denmark, on April 28, 1933 in Melvindale, MI. He was very
proud of his Danish ancestry.


Harry served his country proudly for three years as a Marine in the Korean war. He retired from ANR
Trucking Company after 45 years as a traffic manager. He enjoyed bowling, golf, hunting, and most
importantly time with his family. He spent many memorable summers with family at Little Whitefish
Lake and enjoyed the many friendships made there. He was a very active member of Sunset Park Church
of God for 23 years and made lifelong friends. He was the greatest handyman and loved the challenge
of building and creating projects in their home.


He is survived by the love of his life, Dolores. They were blessed with 68 wonderful years of marriage.
He will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his children Richard Hansen (deceased), Ron
Hansen, Denise Petchauer (John), and Dyan Ott (David), grandchildren Ryan Petchauer (deceased),
Alison Hamaker (Ty), Kelsey Brouwer (Zach), Conor, Cara, and Crysta Ott, Taylor Hansen (mother Mary
Winn), and great grandchildren Hayes and Mesa Hamaker, with a Brouwer baby on the way.


A Celebration of Life will take place at Sunset Park Church of God, 3450 Michael Ave S.W., Wyoming, MI
49509 on Friday July 21, 2023. Visitation will be held at 4 pm, service at 5 pm, with dinner being served
following the service. Contributions can be made to Sunset Park Church of God.
