Obituary

Harold Wiltsie, 96, raised in Escanaba, MI and recently of Kinross, MI, passed away quietly on Saturday, March 27, 2021 of natural causes, at home surrounded by family. Harold was married to Joyce Jackson of Sturgeon Bay, Wi for 56 years who preceded him in death.
Harold is survived by Charles Wiltsie and his wife Linda, Thomas Wiltsie, and Steven Wiltsie and his wife Patty. He has always been very proud of his 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and he was looking forward to the birth of his first great, great grandchild this summer.
Harold enlisted in the Navy during WWII where he was awarded the Bronze Star during the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign. After the war he enlisted in the US Coast Guard and spent the rest of his military career stationed on the Great Lakes in Sturgeon Bay, WI and Sault Ste. Marie, MI, until he retired with 23 years of service.
Harold will be interred with military honors at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
The family has asked for donations to Special Olympics of Michigan/Area 11, Faith Hospice of Grand Rapids, MI, Shriners Hospitals, or The Salvation Army of Sarasota County in lieu of flowers.
