April 20, 1919 - February 12, 2015 Harold J. Warmels born on April 20th, 1919 passed away on February 12th, 2015. A wonderful and loving man, he is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth Marie Warmels (Nieuwdorp). They have been married for 73 incredible years. Also survived by children David J. Warmels (Susan Clark-Warmels), Daniel J. Warmels (Bonnie), Grandchildren Michelle, Kate, Erin, Tristan (Jeremy Warmels-Herring), Dana, Tess Potchen and nieces and nephews. Harold worked at GM for 43 years as a tool and die maker. He served as a Lieutenant in WWII in the Philippines and was an avid sports player loving bowling, tennis, table tennis, softball and golf. He was also a loyal MSU fan. Harold served on the board of GM Stampers Credit Union, Southgate Condominium Association, Kentwood Library Building and Board of Directors. He sang with the Grand Rapids Schubert Club Male Chorus and was the President of the Board Chorus 1973-74. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Harold's life will take place in April.
