Harold Eugene Kemp, 68, of Grand Rapids, MI. Passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Saint Mary's Hospital. Harold was born June 6, 1952. The son of Llewellyn Johnson Kemp and Helen Mae (Jefferson) Kemp.

Harold attended Albion Public Schools. At the age of 19, Harold served in the US Air Force branch of the military, and received an honorable discharge. Harold held many job titles. He was a true handyman, a jack of all trades.

Harold met the love of his life, Denise Lois Freeman and they married in 1997. Harold studied the bible with Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed attending meetings at the Kingdom Hall. Harold love spending time with his family and friends. Harold loved nature, fishing, hunting and bike riding. He enjoyed watching old movies and doing crossword puzzles. Harold also loved music, singing and dancing with his brothers and sister.

Harold is survived by his wife of 24 years, Denise Lois Kemp. A son Monte (Tiffany) Wilson of Lansing, MI, two daughters Shantel Freeman of Battle Creek, MI, and Jescia Rutledge of Grand Rapids, MI. A sister, Bernadine Lewis of Indianapolis, IN, and a brother, John H. (Katherine) Kemp of Kalamazoo, MI. Nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Llewellyn and Helen Kemp; four brothers, Delbert, Reggie, Gerald, and Terry Kemp. A special friend, Terrance Caro of Milwaukee, WI.

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair; perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so we saw it there; perhaps you spoke a word of kindness as only a friend could say; perhaps you weren't there at all, just thoughts of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so very much. The family of Harold Eugene Kemp.
