Harold Fred Hogue (Hogie), age 79, of Newaygo, MI passed away suddenly on September 14, 2017. Harold worked for the City of Grand Rapids for 23 years as a master electrician. He served his country in the United States Air Force and Naval Reserves. He was an active member of the AMVETS Post 1988, Fraternal Order of Eagles in White Cloud, and the American Legion Post 179. He enjoyed golf outings, woodworking, and being around his friends, family, and pets. Harold is survived by his children, Terri Long of Bitely, Lisa Hughes of Summerfield, FL, Michael (Karla) Hogue of Martin, and Elwanda Hogue of Jenison, six grandchildren, one great-grand child, several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Elwanda Smith-Curtis and Howard Hogue, and his. brother Jerry Hogue. Services for Harold will be held on September 27th, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at the American Legion Post 381, 6812 South Croton Hardy Drive, Newaygo, MI 49337, a luncheon will follow. Cremation has taken place.
