On Friday, July 9 th , 2021, Hans Frederick Meulenberg passed away surrounded by his children. Hans was born July 15 th, 1954 in Pontiac, Michigan to parents Timothy and Lois (Zimlich) Meulenberg. After a short while, the family moved to Richland, Michigan where Hans and his 6 siblings grew up on Gull Lake.

Hans spent most of his working life in autobody repair, at one point owning a body shop in Richland, Michigan. Before long, he had his own children, Hans Meulenberg, Alden Meulenberg (Kristyn), Anneliesa Meulenberg-Munn (Dave), and Elaina Powers (Dustin). Amazingly, all of his children were 4 years, 2 months and 3 days apart. He could often be heard cheering in the stands of his children's games or letting the officials or coach know of his disappointment. In his later years, he was a
very loving grandfather to his 5 grandchildren, Greyson, Jackson, Logan, Jace and Peyton, as well as the best dog-dad to his dog-daughter, Amy.

Hans' story was one of Grace, Mercy and Redemption. His children are all proud of the man he became; a man who loved Jesus and was always ready to give Him the Glory. He'll be remembered by his infectious laugh, his ability to say exactly what he was thinking, and his desire to give beyond his means.

Hans was proceeded in death by his Mother and Father, his brother Jon Meulenberg, and his sister Janna Kamarchik. He is survived by his 4 children, 5 grandchildren, his brothers Timothy Meulenberg (Linda), Drew Meulenberg (Susan), and Kurt Meulenberg, his sister Meg Barry, and many nieces and nephews. Hans will be greatly missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know and love him.
