Gregory William Samczyk, age 42, of Grand Rapids and formerly of Caseville, passed away August 9, 2019. Gregory was born June 9, 1977. Gregory William Samczyk passed away at his home with his wife by his side, after a twenty two year battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). He graduated from Caseville High School with honors. Greg loved spending time with his children fishing, camping & traveling. He had a passion for fast cars & motorcycles. He was skilled in his work of alarm integration systems, and took pride in it. Greg is survived by his wife, Jessica; his combined family of children, Isabella, Ayden, Brigette, Airick, Alyza & Lucas; his parents, Timothy & Sandra Samczyk; his grandmother, Marjorie Samczyk; brothers-in-law, Steven, Adam, Ryan (Stacy) Chau; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William & Betty Schaper; paternal grandfather, Louis Samczyk; his father-in-law, Tuan H. Chau; his aunt, Jeannette & cousin, Jason. Per Greg's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the PKD Foundation. Arrangements were handled by Ofield Funeral Home.
