Gregory J. Hunter of Brooklyn, Michigan, age 71, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was born to Douglas and Norma (Partain) Hunter on January 1, 1951 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Gregory was the second of four boys, and was married to Margaret (Peggy) Ann Hunter for 53 years. They were born in the same hospital hours apart and met through his best friend, Bill, who preceded him in death. He was dedicated to serving the public and served as an officer of the peace until injured in the line of duty. Though his health made it difficult for him to travel, he would pass time watching the world from his porch or window. Gregory was a man devoted to family and selflessly helping those in need however he could. He enjoyed fishing, attending car shows and eating BBQ and patty melts. He especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife and his five children Darlene, Matthew, Luke, Amanda, and Jonathon, (three of whom are veterans) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
