On June 20th, 2022, another angel was called back to Heaven.
Gracie Naomi Gibson was born on September 12th, 1944 to Edith and Joseph
Wellington; passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She is
preceded in death by her husband Paul (Denny) Gibson Jr; sons, Dale Cook
and John Otter; brothers, Roland Caudill and Quincy Myers; and grandchildren;
Lilly and Morgan White.
She is survived by her brothers; Jerry, Alton, Ravon, Johnny, and Garwood
Caudill; sister, Leona Myers; daughter, Susan Runnels; step-daughter, Alice
(David) Cook; grandchildren, Alesia (Josh) Taylor, Terri Runnels, Christopher
(Heather) Runnels, Samantha (Andrew) Horvath, Joshua Runnels, and Emma
Runnels; step-grandchildren, Kristen (Ralph) Carroll, Britani, Richard, and Tiffany
Cook; brother-in-law, Gene (Pamela) Gibson, Dwayne (Teri) Gibson. As well as
many great-grandchildren, nieces/nephews, and friends.
Gracie was a kind-hearted, loving, and witty woman. She loved being outdoors,
taking her dog, Daisy Mae for walks on the White Pine Trail. She also enjoyed
taking trips down to North Carolina to visit family. Gracie played a huge role
in many lives- not only was she known as a loving grandmother, but a mother,
sister, aunt, and a great friend to others. She truly was an angel on earth. If
anyone needed help or a shoulder to cry on, she was there with no hesitation.
A Celebration of Life will take place July 17th, 2022, at 1PM at the Algoma
Sports Complex in Rockford, MI. Service Details.
