Obituary

Grace D'Amico Macaluso, 81, of Byron Center, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Grace was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished time spent together—whether meeting for coffee at Mr. Burger, sharing dinner at First Wok, or welcoming everyone into her home to cook for them. Family was the center of Grace's life, and she made everyone feel welcome as part of it.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Samuel Macaluso; her parents, Joseph and Josephine D'Amico; her in-laws, Dominic and Mae Macaluso; her sister, Anna Marie Vulpetti; her brother, Frank D'Amico; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Macaluso; and her beloved nephew, Angelo Vulpetti.

She is survived by her daughter, Annmarie Macaluso Overeiner; her son, Paul (Kati) Macaluso; her grandson, Dylan Overeiner; her sister-in-law, Sherri D'Amico; her brother-in-law, Joseph Macaluso; and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday, January 11, from 1:00–3:00 PM and 5:00–7:00 PM at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave., Grand Rapids, Michigan.
