Gloria Diane Stinson Hinojosa, 59, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on February 27th in Grand Rapids, MI. Gloria was born in Orlando, FL to Lois Stephens and Kern Stinson on March 11, 1959. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Education degree from Aquinas College before spending the next 29 years as a pre-school teacher at Orchard Hill Reformed Church. Spanning nearly 3 decades of education, Gloria's positive attitude, excitement for life, and success as a teacher were easily seen in the smiles of her many students. While Gloria was always passionate about her career, those closest to her knew that her heart was most full when spending time with her sons and grandchildren. Gloria's wide-spread impact will be long-remembered, and she will be greatly missed. Gloria is survived by her two sons; Luc Shiels (and wife, Amanda) and Jacob Shiels (and Catalina Fugariu). Gloria was also survived by her mother, Lois Stephens, and three sisters, Melissa Stinson McClure, Laurel Gruchow, and Kim Stinson, her grandchildren, Austin, Alexus, Danika, Felix, Skyla, and Luc Jr., and boyfriend, Greg Levanduski. A celebration of Gloria's life will be held at Orchard Hill Reformed Church (address below) on March 9th, 2019. Visitation for the family will begin at 11:00 AM and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the memorial service. Memorial donations will be accepted by Orchard Hill Reformed Church and placed into a trust for Gloria's grandchildren. Orchard Hill Reformed Church will also be planting and dedicating a memorial garden in Gloria's name. Gloria's family wishes to extend their very heartfelt appreciation to Orchard Hill Reformed Church and its patrons for their long-standing and gracious support.
