Gloria E. A. (Gee) Bartaway, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 24, 2025.

She was born in Grand Rapids on June 7, 1933, to Thomas E. Gee Sr. & Merle (Sabin) Gee.

Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Gilbert Bartaway Jr., and daughter, Rebecca J. (Niles) Karwoski.  Also preceding her in death are her brothers, Elsworth, Thomas E. "Eddie" Jr., John, Ernest, Charles, Everett "Rod", Donald, William and Richard; sisters, Gertrude (Gee) Morse and Thelma (Gee) Johnson.

Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ronald G. (Christine) Bartaway, Ruthann M. Swisher, and Ryan G. (Donna) Bartaway; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; sister, Katelou (Gee) Hole; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, family and extended families.

Gloria graduated from Grand Rapids Creston High School and worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years.  She married the love of her life, Gilbert, on December 27, 1957, at the 2nd Street Methodist Church in Grand Rapids.  She was a faithful attending member of Wood Brook Cathedral where she worshipped and praised her Lord most often with family at her side.  Gloria is placed in eternal rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  A celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
