Glenn Northern, a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids Michigan, passed away on March 6th 2019 at the age of 69. Glenn is survived by his wife, Barbara G. Northern and their children: Shaun, Bruce James, Barbara and Felicia Northern, as well as Tony Guajardo, Glenn Guarjardo Jr, Kimberly Beeks, Glenn Shannon Beeks, three surviving siblings, Robert Northern, Deloris Northern/Campbell and Bruce Northern and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Glenn was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on January 26th,1950 to Marie Northern and Fred Bullock. He graduated with an Associates degree and worked as a blueprint reader as well as a machine operator for Lazy-Boy furniture, from which he later retired. On August 19th,1978 he married Barbara Guajardo and began growing his family who were the most important part of his life. Glenn was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed taking his wife and children on picnics, fishing and barbecuing with friends and family. He loved driving his Cadillac and listening to his favorite old-time music. He was a great man and had many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A memorial service is scheduled for March 15th at Ofield funeral home at 4500 Kalamazoo St, Kentwood, MI. Apostle Henry Petty will officiate. Visitation for friends and family will be held at 1:00 pm, and service will follow at 2:00 pm. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at the Repass service at 1515 Langley St, Kentwood, MI starting at 3:00 pm.
