Giuseppe "Joe" Edward Russo age 71 passed away Sunday November 14th, 2021. Born June 27th 1950 in Grand Rapids, Joe was the son of Samuel and Betty (Porter) Russo. Joe enjoyed his many years working at Steelcase, and more recently working for the past 10 years at Cabela's. Joe made a lot of friends working there, and enjoyed working with all of his co-workers and customers. He enjoyed his time out on the water, mainly bass fishing, but also enjoyed his time on the ice catching pan fish. Joe also enjoyed spending time out in the woods hunting as well as camping. Joe is survived by his children, Angela (Dan) DeVries; Jill (Sebastion) Malarz; Jennifer (Joe) DiLeonardo; Stefanie (Babis) Pantazes; Andy (Becky) Betten; Christopher (Jackie Passchier) Russo; Kimberly (Dave) Sprik; Grandchildren, Alyssa, Zachery, Jake (Olivia), and Anna DeVries; Kodey (Sarah) Briggs, Alek, Julian (Celia), and Tristan Malarz; Anthony, Joey, Maddie DeLeonardo; Hannah Betten; Meilani and Maylee Russo; Hunter and Blake Sprik; Siblings Antonia (Ted) Haaksma; Theresa (Jim) Wolf; Lucille (Larry) Behrens; Pamela (Frank) Spica; Tony Russo; and Geno Russo as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debi Russo; and his siblings, Sam (Sue) Russo; Deborah Russo; and Angela Russo. A funeral service will be held at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00am. A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, November 26th, 2021 from 6:00-8:00p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service.
