Obituary

Geraldine Turek passed away peacefully on September 4, 2024, at the age of 91. Born on April 6, 1933, in Windsor, Ontario to Anthony and Mary Marecek, Geraldine led a life marked by her passion for gardening, her talent in photography, and her love for bringing people together at her memorable pool parties.

Geraldine was the heart of her family and is predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter Turek; her son, Wayne Turek; her granddaughter, Roxanne Turek; and her daughter-in-law, Ellen Turek.

She is survived by Linda and Brent Turner and family, Glenn and Sue Turek and family, Jamie Turek and family, Phil and Laura Martin and family, Carl and Kim Turek and family, daughter-in-law Theresa Turek, and many nieces and nephews. Her radiant smile and warm embrace will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Geraldine cultivated beauty not only in her gardens but in her relationships as well. Her legacy will continue to bloom in the hearts of friends and family, just as her cherished flowers perennially return each spring. Geraldine's life was a portrait of love, captured in the countless beautiful moments that she shared with everyone around her.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at 1253 52nd Street SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by an 11:00am service and a 12:00pm luncheon.
