With a heavy heart, Gerald Lee Yost passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his wife and family on July 17, 2024.

Gerry was born in Carson City on October 9, 1941, to Dorothy (Dale) and William (Mary) Yost. Gerry is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kevin Yost, and step-daughter, Teresa Johnson. Gerry is survived by his wife, Jane Yost (Thayer), half sister Cydney (Harold) Petersen, children, Karen (Tom) Pollock, Jodi Fairchild, step-daughters Laura (Ken) Vanhorn and Shelly Johnson, step-son, Jeremiah Johnson, and several brothers and sisters in-law, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Gerry was a proud Navy Vietnam veteran with a fun-loving spirit. He enjoyed laughing with his community of friends, traveling, boating, and fishing with his wife and family. Gerry retired from a career in the tool & die industry.

A funeral Mass and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
