George William Scobey, 77, passed away on Saturday, January 28th in Grand Rapids. George was preceded in death by his parents, Irene Ellsworth and Melvin Scobey. George is survived by his siblings; Evelyn, Doug, Mary, Robbie, daughter; Tracy, special friends; Brenda and Doug Hansen, grand children; Charles, Raechelle, and Nicholas. George worked as an auctioneer for a number of years. He honorably served his country as a Marine in the 9th Marine Core. George loved country music and karaoke, he will be dearly missed by his friends and family whom he loved. George will be buried at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI with full military honors. You'll be missed GW.
