George Peter Rinkevich, age 74, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at his home in Plainfield Township. He is survived by his son Greg (Kari), step-son Mike VanderBurg, brother Dan, sister-in law Karen (Roger) Flanagan, nieces and nephews.

He was born February 21, 1946, in Frankford, Michigan to George and Vivian (Fick) Rinkevich. In 1949, his family moved from Beulah, Michigan to Plainfield Township and George graduated from Northview High School in 1965. After servicing in the Army for 2 years, George begin his career as a truck mechanic, retiring from the Spartan truck garage in 2012.

George married Florence Lane in 1972. They were married for 49 years until Flo's recent passing in August of 2021. He is preceded in death by his father George (1989) and his mother Vivian (1998).

George and Flo enjoyed fishing and were avid bowlers, participating in several leagues until 2021.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Service Details.
