George William Thomas Jenkins IV, age 55, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.  He was born in Grand Rapids on January 22, 1968, to George William Thomas III and Gloria (Weeks) Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: George William Thomas II and Marrella Jenkins and Ed and Marion Weeks; as well as his uncle, Ed.

He is survived by his parents: George and Gloria; son, Nick (Margret) Jenkins; daughter, Alex Jenkins (Patrick Dine); six grandchildren: Nick Jr., Ben, Joey, Jessy, Jake, and Victoria; sisters: Renee (Rick) Nelson, Tammy (Butch) Bauman, and Michelle (Q) Wierckz; dear friend, Angie; as well as several nieces and nephews.

George attended Wayland High School, and then worked for Van Lann Construction.  He worked hard most of his life in cement work.  George came from a family of APBA boat racers.  He won two National Championships, like his grandfather, father, and son.  George loved his family and will be sadly missed.
