IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Geoffrey Michael
Davis
September 8, 2016 – April 1, 2016
Davis, Geoffrey Michael Passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2016, after a ten-month struggle with esophageal cancer. Geoffrey was a 21st Century Rennaisance Man. As a life-long student and naturalist, he studied both nature and the human spirit. He played guitar and wrote, created numerous works of art, made film, was a excellent photographer, humanist, philosopher and a genuine friend to all lucky enough to be one of his. Anyone who met him was struck by his lively wit and humor. Geoffrey joins his parents, Judson and Marion (Fowler) Davis; mother-in-law, Lizabeth (Sharda) Tuuk and dear friend, Ron VanPorfliet, in heaven. His wife of 29 years, Nancy Tuuk Davis; children: John VerWey and twins, Will and Sophie Davis, were blessed by his exuberant love; brothers, Judson Patrick and Christopher Davis shared his love for their cabin in Canada and a life-long love of fishing and golf; sisters, Judy Davis-Schildroth and Fran (Ray) Kisor will miss their brother's endless antics. Geoffrey is also survived by aunt, Betty (Davis) Kendall and cousins, father-in-law, David B Tuuk, Mary Jo (Tuuk) and Tom Oosterhouse, Jack Tuuk, Robert Tuuk, Jim (Valerie) Tuuk, David (Victoria) Tuuk Jr. as well as numerous nieces and nephews (and grands) on both sides who will never forget their exceptional Uncle Geoffrey. Geoffrey attended Creston High School and graduated from Brooks Preparatory School for Boys in Harwichport, CT. He interned at Warner Brother's Studio and received a BA in Philosophy from Thomas Jefferson College (Grand Valley University). Geoffrey worked for the family business, Davis Inc., and later as a realtor. God did not make many like Geoff. He was charmed and made us all laugh. The stories of his 68 years on earth are legendary. Special thanks to lifelong friend, Rick VanAntwerp, for his true friendship and dedication during Geoffrey's illness. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in May. Please consider a memorial contribution in Geoffrey's memory to Will or Sophie's College Fund at Chase Bank. Peace.
