Gary Lee Pittman, 71, of Wyoming, MI, passed away suddenly on November 21, 2020 at his home due to complications with diabetes. He was born July 25, 1949 in Grand Rapids, MI.

Gary graduated from Ferris State University in 1971 and graduated Godwin High School in Wyoming, MI in 1967. He worked many years at Pfeiffer Body Shop and at Ryder's Hobby Shop in Grand Rapids, MI. He enjoyed making and flying radio-controlled airplanes and was a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics, West Michigan Radio Aircraft Flyers, Ionia County Model Aircraft Club and Wolverine Skyhawks Club.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Pittman and stepfather, Keith Franks.

Gary is survived by his children, Michelle Pittman and Cheryl Gentz; his grandsons, Aidden and Zach Gentz; his mother, Ethel Franks; siblings, Vicki (Rick) Beck, Nancie (George) Evenocheck and William (Kimberly) Pittman; aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews and a special friend, Carolyn Baker.

Cremation has taken place with a memorial later. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity in his honor.
