Gary Myers, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose life was marked by faith, kindness, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sue Myers, and their children, Laura and Ryan McConnell, and Joe and Angela Myers. He was a proud grandfather to Bridgette (Jared), Austin, Conor, and Lily, each of whom brought him immense joy.

He will be deeply missed by his brothers Tom, Ron (Barb), Mark, Rick (Julie), and Brian (Sandy) Myers; brother-in-law Tom (Kay Ellen) Wright; and sister-in-law Mary Wright.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bernice Myers; his in-laws, Vernon and Wava Wright; sisters-in-law WavaJean Carey, Patricia Nahs and Sally Myers and brothers-in-law Father Bill , Jack, and Jerry Wright.

A faithful Catholic, Gary was a devoted member of St. Mary Magdalen Church, where his quiet strength and generous spirit touched many lives.

Gary had a passion for golf, hunting, and fishing, and he especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He was a constant presence at their school and sporting events, always cheering them on with pride.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Grand Rapids, MI, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan Mast Foundation.

Gary's life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will forever be treasured.
