Knowles, Gary L., Age 86 of Wyoming, Michigan, a graduate of Grandville High, Davenport and Grand Valley State and a member of American Legion Post 0179 and Moose Lodge 763, passed away on Saturday, August 29th, 2026. 

He was preceded in death by his father, LaVerne; mother, Francis McHoskey; and brother, Don. 

He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Carpenter, Amy (Scott) Nichols, and Kathy (Stephen) Naylor, 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; nephew, Bryan and niece, Linda Clark. 

Per Gary's request, a private service was held in Grandville's Heritage Park. His favorite scripture passage is Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3.
