Gary L. Hentges, age 65, passed away on November 18, 2024, in Battle Creek, Michigan, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 6, 1959, Gary was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and a proud graduate of Battle Creek Central High School.

Gary dedicated a little of his professional life to MSI Stamping and later to Denso Manufacturing, where he retired after 26 years of exemplary service. His commitment and hard work were highly regarded by colleagues and friends alike.

A man of diverse passions, Gary was an avid enthusiast of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Detroit Lions football, and his cherished Corvette. However, his greatest joy was his family. Gary is survived by his devoted wife, Lorinda; his children, Savannah (Alex) Matias-Morles, Hanna Collins, Stephan Goodson, and Karen (Brandin) Dailey; along with 12 grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his brother, George "Nick" Hentges Jr. and mother, Emilia "Helen" VanValkenburg.

Gary's life was marked by his profound love for his family and his closest friends, Jim "Poncho" Mcnamee and Sherry Blair. His legacy of love and passion for life will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

Gary's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will always remember his warmth, dedication, and zest for life. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
